My art is my story of personal transition or search for balance, between the pragmatic, alienated view of life, and the poetic, emotional view through my creative practice. In my opinion, there comes a moment for every author when art requires a so-called "vulnerability" aspect, the author's ability not to lie and not to hide in his craft skills. Because painting is not only about craft skills, there must be some element that makes the work surreal, there must be emotionality. And it seems that painting is one of the forms of art where you can't mix it with emotionality.
I believe that in the painting process it is important to build layers and dimensions that add depth to the image. When, through the compositional solution, the search for tonal relationships, colors and shapes, little by little each work reveals a deeper – personal mood.
Common to my creative practice is an attempt to give the illusion of depth to a two-dimensional plane with the means typical of painting, and, with the help of color and form, compositional means and techniques, to promote the creation of an emotional mood in the viewer, to stimulate associations and reflections, to challenge feeling and thinking.
Modern times are often quite superficial or incomplete in their own way, and so abnormally pragmatic that my art is my way of looking for balance in this life, because I feel, or in other words, I allow myself to feel when I paint. It is my desire for harmony, my relationship with the world, and also a tool for self-discovery.
