  • About the artist

    Katrina Tračuma, a versatile visual artist, explores the theme of human estrangement from nature through painting. Her works feature bold brushstrokes balanced with intricate details, conveying symbolic imagery and drawing attention to ethical and environmental issues.

    Born in 1993 in Jelgava, Latvia, Katrina earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Crawford College of Art & Design, CIT, in 2018, and a First-Class Master's degree in Fine Art from Belfast School of Art, UU, in 2021. She has exhibited extensively across the British Isles, Spain, Russia, Latvia, India, and the USA. Notable awards include the Visual Arts Prize at the Galway Fringe festival in 2018. As a professional member of Visual Artists Ireland and Nua Collective, her works are featured in numerous collections worldwide.
