After the Russo-Ukrainian war began, many people decided to leave Russian lands. I got a Humanitarian Visa and left the country where I was living my whole life with only one suitcase in my hands. The picture shows the queue for the bus, which had a long way to go: first, we were stopped by the traffic police, later by the FSS, and finally those who were let out at the Russian-Latvian border managed to cross it. Most of the passengers were Ukrainians, I talked to some of them and learned their stories. The picture illustrates the people I remember from this day. In the midst of all the political happenings, I decided to add two more paintings to it, revealing much more emotion.
