Endemic to the Phantom Highlands.
The peak of L. montanus flowering occurs during the spring migration of migratory birds. Meadows overgrown with L. montanus create an incredibly realistic illusion of small lakes. Birds, attracted by the deceptive shine of water, land in the thickets of L. montanus and perform effective pollination.
